Missing Object Update Not Working for Some Devices in Intune Integration with Jira Assets

Hi!

We're using the Intune integration with Jira Asset Management to import all our laptop devices into a single object type: Managed Devices.

Everything is configured correctly and generally works well — including the "Missing Object Update" feature which sets the attribute "Source Status" attribute to "Not in Intune" when a device is no longer present in the import source.

However, we've identified a recurring issue:

Some laptops that have been removed from Intune are not marked as "Not in Intune", even though:

• They are no longer present in the Intune dataset.
• The import does not include them in "Missing objects updated"
• These objects should be marked as missing, based on configuration.

I verified:

• Import identifier is serialNumber, and confirmed identical (they were created by the import from the beginning)
• "Missing object update" is enabled and configured to set "Source Status" to "Not in Intune"
• This works perfectly for most laptops

Mapping setup:

Missing objects: Update

Attribute to edit: Source Status

New Value of attribute to edit: Not in Intune

Treshold Number: 3

Import:

• Total Computer objects: 2061
• Entries in current import: 1923
• Missing objects updated: 76
• Still unaccounted-for devices: ~62 objects
• They still show "Source Status" = "In Intune"
• But are not present in the incoming import data

Anyone have any idea to figure out the issue?

I'm not sure if you've found an answer yet but the only thing I noticed in the info you provided was the threshold number was set as 3; were the objects still showing up without a status change after 3 imports?

Did you manage to figure this out and if so, would you mind sharing your fix so others in the community can find it?
