Market Place App Reliability (Cloud Apps)

Our leadership team has concerns about relying on marketplace apps for additional functionality not currently offered within the base functionality of JSD Cloud. 

- When JSD Updates, can we be confident that the marketplace app will not break?

- How often are marketplace apps discontinued without advance notice? 

- Are marketplace app prone to developer error? 

- Is there a way to tell if Marketplace apps are "safer" than others with regard to the above concerns?

I'll ask our Atlassian Rep for guidance as well, but I'm looking to hear the real world experiences of customers using marketplace apps.
