Hi Team,
We are looking to integrate a checklist for our off-boarding process within our JIRA service project we have established for User Lifecycle Management. We see that the there is a free version available to accomplish this, but it is limited.
We see that there are a few options, such as Smart Checklist or Issue Checklist for Jira Pro. Based on our current account, I am not sure how to implement or who to contact to retrieve the unlimited option?
Any help or advice from anyone who has done something similar would be super helpful.
hi @Geena Greene! I'm from the Smart Checklist team, and I hope I can help you with your question. Smart Checklist by Titan Apps works with any type of Jira instance, so you don't need to upgrade your Jira account to use the full functionality.
Apart from that, Smart Checklist offers both a Free version and a Pro/paid version (none of them requires a Jira plan upgrade). The free one includes fewer checklist items per Jira task, but it can also be a good fit depending on your use case. Please check the details in this Free vs Pro comparison table.
We also offer free checklist templates for HR tasks, among other areas. Here are a couple of examples that can be useful for you:
- Position Opening Template
- Employee Onboarding Template
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Hi, @Geena Greene 👋 Welcome to the community.
As a site administrator, you have the ability to install a 30-day trial of any Atlassian Marketplace app you wish.
Hope this helps,

Hey @Dave Rosenlund _Trundl_ thanks for getting back to me. Once we complete the 30 day trial - Would we need to upgrade our current account status?

Probably not, @Geena Greene. Nearly all of the Atlassian Marketplace apps are designed for Standard Atlassian Cloud plan. In fact, I don't know of any marketplace apps that only work with Premium or Enterprise.
I'd be shocked if you find one for your use case.

Hi @Geena Greene,
You’ve already received some helpful suggestions. I just wanted to add one quick note that might be useful.
When choosing a checklist app for Jira Cloud, it can be helpful to consider how the app is hosted. If security and data control are essential for your team, apps built on Forge can be a good option. They run entirely within Atlassian’s infrastructure and involve no external data processing.
One such app is Checklist for Jira Cloud, which works with both Jira and JSM. It supports multiple checklists per issue and nested items, which can be helpful in the off-boarding process, where several teams are involved.
I’m part of the team behind this app, so if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Hope this helps!

Hi @Geena Greene ☺️, If you're open to using a third-party app, I think Templating.app could be a good alternative as well.

Hi @Geena Greene Welcome to the community!
If you are looking for a solution that allows you to add checklists automatically or manually, has no limitations and at the same time is affordable, then you can check out our Multiple Checklists for Jira solution - I work for the vendor who created this martkeplace app.
As mentioned here, each paid marketplace app has a 30-day trial period, so this will allow you to decide whether our solution is for you or not.
We have prepared a blog post on the things you can track with Multiple Checklists for Jira.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help!
