Links in comments in Service Desk issues open in the same page

When a link url is written inside a comment of a issue, by clicking on it I can go to the link. Unfortunately the link opens in the same page, thus replacing the service desk page. Apart of right-clicking the link to open in another browser's sheet or page, is there a way to make these links open always in a new sheet?

Hi Daniele,

I believe this is not possible out-of-the-box.

Suggestion has been raised before but not this is not in the roadmap as yet -- JRASERVER-9380

However, I came across some Chrome browser extensions suggesting to do the same -- Open JIRA external links in a new tab.
