Linking an Epic only not a board to a JIRA plan

Hi, 

I'm not sure if what I'm asking is possible, but when creating a new Plan in JIRA, I have the option to add a Board, Project or Filter. I'm trying to add a project, plus 1 Epic (rather than a whole board/project). 

Is there a way to do this?

In that case, create a filter having your project + Epic data. and associate that with your plan for issue source.
