We are using Jira Service Management Cloud Free.
Any attempt to access Service Management configuration (Request types, Portal)
returns “This space isn’t available”.
Accessing:
https://<our-site>.atlassian.net/servicedesk/projects
returns HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.
This happens even with a newly created Service Management project.
Permissions are correct (Project Admin).
Error details:
- Error type: 500 Internal Server Error

This looks like a backend issue with the new “Spaces” UI and Jira Service Management.
Hello @Guido Cason
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
As a user community we don't have access to the Atlassian backend. But I have flagged your post to raise it to the attention of Atlassian team members. They should get back to you within 2 business days.
In the interim have you tried other browser applications, clearing your browser cache, or private browser windows? I would not necessarily expect that to help, but trying doesn't compound the issue.
How long has this subscription been active? Have you ever been successful in accessing the projects?
Hi Trudy, thank you for flagging this to the Atlassian team.
Yes, we have already tried:
- Different browsers (Chrome, Edge)
- Incognito/private windows
- Clearing cache and cookies
The issue persists in all cases.
Regarding your questions:
- This Jira Cloud site (stopcar.atlassian.net) has been active for quite some time (not newly created).
- Jira Software projects have always been accessible and work correctly.
- The issue only affects Jira Service Management.
We were never able to successfully access:
- /servicedesk/projects
- Request types configuration
- The customer portal
This also happens with newly created Jira Service Management projects, which suggests a backend or tenant-level issue rather than a configuration or browser problem.
Please let me know if you need any additional information (trace IDs, timestamps, project keys, etc.).
Thanks again for your help.
