Jira Service Desk licence used for Jira App for Chat

Hey,

Is there any way to remove Jira App for Chat from the Jira Service Desk user group? We don't want to pay for a licence for something we don't use.

Hi Mark,

Jira App for Chat is a system add-on thus it is not possible to remove, and also should not take up a Service Desk license.

I checked my personal Service Desk instance and I can confirm it does not take up a license.

You can check your Application access page below to confirm:

https://[YOUR-INSTANCE].atlassian.net/admin/apps

Here's how mine looks, you can see only my user is taking up a license:

Yep, all good now. Did some more fiddling and everything is as it should be.
