Jira Service Desk API - customer respond to his/her ticket?

I don't see an API to allow the customer to respond to his/her ticket.

Is that possible?


We are evaluating recreating the functionality of the customer support ticketing portal inside our own B2B web application as we believe that could lead to a better user experience than having the user click a link that leads to customer support ticketing portal (as that would be a new window on a different domain and would lose our common navigation bar: in summary, it is a different web application).

An iframe is not possible; I highlight that Atlassian has chosen to make restrictive security settings on HTTP headers such that the customer support ticketing portal cannot be included in any iframe.

We have also evaluated the widget, but it is designed to be very basic: cannot view list of tickets, cannot view existing tickets, cannot respond to existing tickets.
