I note now when I raise a ticket and get a response I also get a few Autonotifications I would like to suppress. some as they appear like spam. They come from
Automation for Jira (Jira)
To supplement what @Alex Koxaras -Relational- suggested, you should also check your JSM project's notification scheme (Project Settings >> Notifications)
This notification scheme setup is the system level notification where you can see who will be notified based on issue events (i.e. Issue Created/Issue Updated etc...). You can adjust them (out of the box default settings) to fit your needs to eliminate system notifications as needed.
Please also note that you will need to be the system admins + the default notifications scheme may be shared by more than one projects. So if the changes is just for a specific project, then you will need to ensure the specific project has its own unique notification scheme configuration, thus the changes against it will not impact other projects.
Hope this also helps.

Hi @George Bullock and welcome to the community,
Usually these notifications are produced by Jira Automation, the (now) native automation functionality that comes with Jira. So in order to find out which rule sends out emails, go to project settings > automation and search for that rule. Make any adjustments necessary (turn it off etc).
