Jira Core 8.0.2 and Jira Service Desk 4.0.2

Toby Pittman March 8, 2019

I see there is an update for Jira Core and Jira Service Desk. My question is last time I upgraded from build 7.0.12 to build 8.0.0 the Windows service did not install until Atlassian released build 8.0.1

We just want to make sure build 8.0.2 installer will install the Windows service correctly.

Also... should we install Jira Core first and then let the system update Jira Service Desk to build 4.0.2?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi Toby,

Always upgrade Core first, then Service Desk.  As a seasoned Jira Admin I have to say I never take version X.0.0.   Kudos to those keeners who take the first release and find the bugs.

So at this point, although I'm salivating over the new features of 8.0.X, I'm waiting until after Summit to upgrade.

Cheers,

Susan
