Jira Admin cant access to the Request type, Portal, and other option to edit.  I have Jira Admin access then why I cant custom, and update these options! Do I need to have other user group to my account! Such as,  jira-service-management-users, Jira Service Management Agent ?

Only Jira Admin wont be enough for me to have access to Jira Service Management projects customization!

Hi @Irfanul Karim,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Do you have JSM - Agent product access? If not, that would explain why you cannot access Request types and the Portal settings. Being a Jira admin does not automatically grant you access to JSM specific features. If you go to admin.atlassian.com and look up your account you can see if you have JSM - Agent product access or not.

Administrative roles are complex. There are org admins, site admins, and project admins. Org is the highest, and even if you have that, it doesn't mean you automatically have access to project admin - you do have access to add yourself to it though.

A few things to check.

  1. Do you have a Jira Service Management agent license assigned to yourself? You need this to manage project settings. This would be the first thing I would check.
  2. Have you checked the "Permissions" section of the project you're trying to modify and confirmed your user account has admin permissions in the permission scheme the project is using? You'll need that as well. These can be assigned to a few things... roles or groups. You'll need to update your role or add yourself to a group depending on how its setup.

That should hopefully get you in the right direction, more info here https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/this-project-isnt-available-error-or-infinite-load-for-jira-service-management-cloud-1103078597.html
