I need to be able to view how often knowledge base articles are viewed, and which users are viewing them. I know about the Requests Deflected report, but it doesn't meet our needs. It doesn't show which users are viewing articles, and viewing trends by article requires me to manually open each time period and search the list for the applicable article.
In order to build a robust report about knowledge base article views, I'm trying to build a webhook that pulls information every time a knowledge base article is viewed. However, all the available trigger events in .../plugins/servlet/webhooks are ticket-related, not knowledge base article related.
How do I get a webhook that contains knowledge base article views and the user who views them?
Welcome to the community.
This is not an option in Jira or Confluence ootb.
You can look at 3rd party apps from the marketplace, but you simply said need an analytics tool, like google analytics.
But be aware to use this based on user identity, as this could be against privacy guidelines.
