JSM Forms autofill from an external database

We are looking to use JSM and a form to handle our approval workflow for travel requests. Is there a way if a user enters their employee id in the form that we can call an API to an external database to pull in the rest of the relevant information? 

We are not looking to use Assets for the employee information.

Hi Kathleen,

Probably not in real time - unless you were using Assets inside of JSM. But maybe with an automation rule and webhook you could populate the data after the the ticket is created.
