JSM Email Requests Giving Error

Taryn Lachter

We are setting up two external email addresses for different parties to send in requests that will be automatically created as tickets. I've gone through the email settings, the email addresses are connected to their Microsoft sources and logged in, but some folks are still getting errors.

We also have a portal that is just for customers that we want to have more restricted access, so I can't tell if my access settings for those is not allowing for the emails to go through. I was reading that as long as we have it set to "open" that anyone can email us and their address will become a customer upon that first request. The connectivity logs show that it is successfully connected.

Hi @Taryn Lachter

Portal access needs to be open, to allow anyone to email in a request.

Thanks Marc. I actually spoke with Jira support as well and I had misunderstood how access worked for the portal and email requests. It is open but because I have domain specific account settings, I just have to add the domains for everyone we expect to use the email address.
