JSM Client Portal - Community

James Carnes-Dela Cruz November 29, 2023

I am trying to find a way to reduce the number of systems we use by consolidating as much as possible in JSM. We currently have ticketing and the help center but to get away from one other system, we need a "Community" for our customers just like the Atlassian Community. I haven't been able to find an addon or anything online specific to this need.

Is there such a thing that could be added to the portal?

Community Leaders are connectors, ambassadors, and mentors. On the online community, they serve as thought leaders, product experts, and moderators.

Hi @James Carnes-Dela Cruz welcome to the Community!  I'm not 100% sure what your requirements are, but I'm wondering if you're trying to consolidate information to try and help your customers.  I know there isn't a 'community' available to JSM customers for their use.

Would a Knowledge Base do the trick?  I'm wondering if you could create a Knowledge Base with all the information that your customers can search for themselves on.  Maybe you already have a robust one, I'm not sure.

I found something similar in Atlassian's Jira site (jira.atlassian.com) that sounds like a future enhancement for the application.  JSDCLOUD-382

That might be worth voting for and watching.

We are using the Knowledge Base but it doesn't have an open forum section for customers to post questions to our broader customer base like we are doing with this post.
