JIRA Service Desk - An User can create an issue via standard issue create process, but cant create a helpdesk ticket

HungD

I keep receiving this error:

"JIRA Error! Not able to create issue via this Service Desk, please contact the system administrator."

I also checked out all neccessary projecct, issue type permission, referred to 2 important links:
1. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/SERVICEDESK/How+JIRA+and+JIRA+Service+Desk+Work+Together 2.

2. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-70

As from the logic of how JIRA service desk work together with a standard project, if an user can create a standard issue into the project, issue can have a default assignee upon creation, that user should have enough permission to create a service desk request.

Did I miss any configuration?

Hi Hung,

Is the service desk portal connected to one of the projects. If not then it will not create your issue because it doesn't know where to create it.

Also make sure that the fields are mapping as well.

Regards

Anand
