Hi,

We are hosting JIRA on one server and now we want to install JIRA SD on a different server. Do we need to have a JIRA software/Core license to add to the server that the JIRA SD will be installed on? We do not need to integrate JIRA to JIRA SD at this point and want to make sure it is not a requirement to have JIRA to be able to install JIRA SD.

Thanks,

Sara

No, you just need licences for each user on each system.  So, you could do something like 50 Core users on Jira 1, with 100 Software users too, then create a second Jira server with Service Desk on it, with 10 Agents (and no core or software)
