Hi All

Is there a way I can created a rule that prevents an issues from being resolved/closed if the issue is linked to another issue or has a sub task ?

Hi @Andile Luvuno , 

the rules can't prevent someone from making a transition as they are executed after the action, this would be done as a workflow condition : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-issue-workflows/#Advancedworkflowconfiguration-conditions

The condition you described would only be available with an addon I think, like Jira Suite Utilities.
