Hi there,
Is there anything that can be run against a JSM project to be used as a build document for a project.
Maybe something that lists, issue types, request types, workflows, custom fields etc etc.
I didn't see anything within JSM but was hoping there is something that people use as the basis of a handover document or the like for when a project is finished.
Thanks.
In addition to what @John Funk said, you could take a look at Salto, it allows you to track any changes you are making to your project configuration.
Hi Steven,
No, no really. But if you go to Project Settings > Summary and then capture that page, it has most (if not all) of the names of the schemes you would be using.

Hi @Ste404
We use an Atlassian Marketplace app called Glass Project Documentation for Jira
The app allows us to automatically capture various different schemas in a very user friendly way. We use it keep our Jira project related (structural) documentation up to date (such as issue types, screens, workflows including the transitions being used along with WF properties, validators, conditions, permissions, notification schemes, etc) and other project related settings quickly and easily. This app also allows us to create a PDF export, and has an integration where we can generate/transfer this automated documentation directly into our Confluence instance (into our desired target space > page).
This also helps us building out and tracking the updates by looking at our page history over what changes have been made to our projects over time.
Ultimately, the app has drastically reduced the level of manual effort it takes for us to document our end-to-end Jira project setups/structure and processes since it automates this for us.
This isn’t a sales pitch by any stretch of the imagination lol I’m just sharing our personal experiences. We also use different methods of documentation for separate processes of course, but this is what we use to document our project related configurations/structure/schemas.
Cheers, Hamza
