Dear Team,

Is there any option to add customers dynamically to a JSM project without setting the Customer permission to "Customers who have an account on this Jira site" or "Anyone can email the service project or raise a request in the portal"?

Use case: When an external user/customer sends a request via email this user should be dynamically added as a customer into the respective JSM project. Also, a ticket/request must be created from the email.

Current Behaviour: As per the current configuration of the JSM project (below screen shot) when an external user sends an email request, an account is created on the Jira site.

Is there any workaround to add such users as customers dynamically without creating an account on the Jira site ?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Karthika

Hi Karthika,

Out of the box, there is no way to do it. However, it seems this Extension for Jira Service Management app does.

Here on this page, you may find the documentation about the Organization sync feature.

I hope it helps.
