Is there a workflow condition to use the 'customer request type'?

we want to set a post function in the workflow to copy/move an issue from a JSD to an another project based on the customer request type.

We know that we could use the Project automation add-on - we would like to see if this is feasible with out it.

Generally, moving an issue isnt supported by any sort of automation. There are too many items that need to be answered interactively when moving an issue. (ie, what status should the issue be in in the new workflow)

You can create a new issue, linked to the original on. This can be done in a transition post function using any number of addons (JSU, Create on Transition to name 2)

As mentioned you can also use Automation for jira.

But you will need some add-on. There is no native function to create a new issue automatically.

Hi @Andrew Laden ,

just wanted to point out that moving is in fact possible using Jira Workflow Toolbox - see https://apps.decadis.net/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=20187570

Besides the main part of the answer remains: the requirement isn't doable without an additional app.

Cheers
Thorsten

@Thorsten Letschert _Decadis AG_  Cool. Didnt know any of the add-on vendors had taken that one on. Still looks a little fragile (ie, requires very specific setup to work, can be "broken" based on outside factors). But they seem to have a lot of error handling for it which is good.
