We are trying to find a resolution to change the default of the comments to be internal instead of respond to customer. Is there a plugin that can help manage that?

Currently, it's not possible to set the internal comment as the default. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

Related to add-ons, I didn't find anything that could help us.
