We have all our epics in a separate projects (investment) and are linked to the respective tasks of different projects(Products). When I migrated the epics to a next gen project i noticed all the epics have been reset.
Is there a way to recover this?

I'm having trouble figuring out a related epic concern.
I migrated a project to the next-gen style, but can't figure out how to associate an existing story to an existing epic.
Am I blind?
This was something I noticed as well. The layout and structure of the tickets are not very intuitive, at least from my point of view.
Based on what i noticed, in your next gen project board, just under the board name you will see a filter for epics. You need to choose your epic there and then created stories under that epic via the board.
You can also view these epics in the roadmap view.
You need to be mindful if you are migrating Epics from other projects that have tasks links across multiple projects., all these links will be reset. i.e. the issue I encountered resulting in this ticket and the rollback.
There might be a better way to do it but I'm not too sure.

Thanks for trying Bastian, We ended up restoring a backup from before these changes were made, That would be a very useful functionality to have though.
