Is there a way of getting a list of customers in a project through API?

Currently when I do the below call using API:
https://XXXXXX.atlassian.net/rest/servicedeskapi/servicedesk/1/customer
It returns me all the users including agents, how can I restrict it to show only customers?
If I go to admin > Jira Service Management it only shows the list of customers
