Is there a way not to apply SLA's to a single Request Type

Hi all,
Is there a way not to apply SLA's to single Request type, but allow it to display is the same group.
I tested by creating a new group "No SLA's and attaching that group to the request type, however, it still display the SLA's?
Any help will be appreciated...
