Hello,
Our customers always have to specify dates when opening a request.
They would like to input the dates in the format of "ddMMyyyy" to reduce the number of characters that need to be typed instead of "dd.MM.yyyy". For example typing 01102025
for the date 01.10.2025 leads to a the value 11th of May 2025 in the Date field of the form.
Is it possible to define which date formats are allowed in a date field appart from the general language settings?
Welcome to the community.
No this is not possible.
To use a different date format you need to adjust the format in the general setting, this is global.
So this will impact the date formatting global in the system

Hey @Miriam Leopoldseder
Using forms you can select a field to be of type "Date", then users wont need to type anything, they will simply need to select the date.
You can also attach the field to an actual custom field.
So i would create a form with a field type of Date and link it to an actual date field.
