Is it possible to use field references or formula in JSD automation?

For example, I'd like to be able to:

  1. Set a date field to the current date
  2. Make a comment with a relative date ("The due date is in X days")
  3. Reference the priority in a comment

Some of this is possible when sending an email, but the syntax for those field references don't work for general edits or comments.

I'm doing this with the Automation for Jira plugin at the moment, but would prefer to use the built in automation system if possible. In the cloud version, Automation for Jira seems to only be able to run under the "Automation for Jira" user, and I'd like some of my rules to run under the user who triggered the rule.

Hey,

Actually its related with how JQL works, other than saying ("The due date is in X days") in JQL you wrote updatedDate  <= -7d

I hope this helps, and yes you can use this to set automations. We also using  AUTOMATION FOR JIRA to do that, sometimes JSD automations is not working as expected, bu this also solved in latest versions.

Cheers,

Ege Su
