We have certain customers that we would like to set up with e-mail and password. Is that possible? Or are they required to be agents?
I got it solved. We set up a password for the customer by going to the customer profile -> Administer User. Then they needed to use the customer portal to login (not Jira directly that did not work)
All customers have emails and passwords to access the portal. What do you want these customers to have access to that is different than that?

A usual customer that is set up by sending an e-mail to the Service Desk has no password. We do not want every user that sends an e-mail to our support adress to get an account creation request. We only want that for specific users.
