Hello,
We have 2 service management projects. Currently, when an issue/task in submitted in project a, we use some automation to also creation an issue/task in project b. What we are trying to do or ask is if it is possible to create a sub-task in project b that is connected to a task in project a.
When I tried it, the audit log in the automation said:
Nope, you can't create a sub-task in a different project. Sub-tasks are typically associated with parent issues within the same project. However, you can create a task and link the issue to the other issue. You can name this link type as "is child task of" / "is parent task of" but it won't be same as parent/sub-task relation.

This is actually possible when using External System Import and specifying the wrong project and the right parent in a different project - import allows that. I have done so accidentally and I'm trying to figure out how to move the sub-task into the project its parent lives in.
