Is it possible to auto assign an approver?

Hello,

Is it possible to auto assign an approver when a status transitions from one status to the next?

I dont want it to be auto approved. I do want the manager to physically go in and apprve it himself.

Is this possible?

So looks like its possible

My automation doesn't work, it looks just like that. My picker field for approvers with BU Manager as custom field.

When I get to the status where BU Manager should have approvals, and where it should auto assign the user I placed there, it doesn't assign the user.

What probably is the problem here?
