Hello,
My client commonly utilizes one email address for more than one person. However, they wish to have ticketing system where a user only sees their own tickets. Is this scenario suppported in Jira SD? I know it's a glaring security weakness but it's not like I can change the way that client works.
There is no way to do this properly. While you might create accounts with a shared email address, there's no way to hide the data because everyone with access to that email will have access to all the accounts. (That in itself varies between "poor security" and "downright illegal" under GDPR. It's fine for one person to have many accounts, but email accounts should never be shared for purposes of access)
Hello Oritfx,
I just tested and you can create multiple users with the same email, different username.
And a user should only see their own tickets because jira uses usernames, not email addresses.
But the person who has access to this email will see al the issues because it will receive notification via email.
