So my question is, my company kind of not wanting to open up the POP and IMAP, we have our server on Google Cloud, so I was wondering if Jira can create issue by just using Google API, and can it integrate replies to respective thread, and so forth the things you can do with IMAP and POP?
Hello Eden,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
When it comes to Jira mail handler, currently the only options are IMAP and POP.
As you are using Jira Service Desk, you don't need to use the mail handler on Jira settings > System > Incoming email. For that, please use the mail handler directly in the project, so as you don't want to open up POP and IMAP, you can use the email automatically generated by Jira.
For more details about the mail handler for Jira Service Desk, please check the documentation below:
Regards,
Angélica
But what if my company already has a designated mail domain and is it possible that I replace the Atlassian one with ours?
