Hello,

We have Jira and JSM.  I have my IT team desiring to provide leadership Incident Notifications, listed as users, so they can be notified when outages occur and be included in tickets.  From my understanding, all that would be required is for the members of leadership to have a Jira license, correct?  I do not want to grant them JSM licenses.

No, they would not have to have JSM licenses in order to do this. What you could do is add them as request participants, that way the leadership team would be able to add comments via the portal, which does not require a license.

@Gale Petrowski I agree with @Mikael Sandberg   A long time ago we used a list serve to get around this and had JSM email it so they got updates.  In the end they ended up wanting a dashboard that they could use in Jira and then look at the specific incident issues as we would have different levels of incidents that could be happening simultaneously.    None of them really paid that much attention to the emails so the dashboard was a better solution.  I would suggest getting them in the product and using it or coming up with another way to notify them.
