I want to delete a status from workflow. but There are issues in this status that need to be moved

Welcome to the community !!

You can only delete statuses from inactive workflows. If the workflow you are trying to edit is currently used by a project you will need to:

• create a copy of the workflow,
• delete the status in the copied workflow (which will be inactive)
• associate this newly created workflow to the workflow scheme
• While mapping to scheme, it will ask existing tickets  to be moved to which status?
  Select appropriate status for the existing tickets.

But just wanted to confirm can't we move the issues to another status and delete the status from active workflow?

Hi @Salim Shaikh ,

I have not tried this. You can try your luck.

It won't work - you can not delete steps from an active workflow, even if no issues are currently in the status.
