I want to bundle CRs into a fix version or a sprint, to manage test and release

Hi, I am new to Jira SD and want to understand how I can connect a CR to a sprint or a fix version, so that if I have multiple CRs I can release all of them to test and later to production.

I have found there are fields called "Sprint" and "Fix version" and even under project settings something for Fix version to be released. But I have failed to understand how I populate the fields inside the ticket itself, they appear to be locked. And also, I do not know where I can create new sprints. 

Any insight on this would be much appreciated. I did try to search the manuals but drew a blank there.

Hi, I solved this. It was a two-step setup.

Firstly, you had to manage Permissions, Manage sprints. I added myself there.

Then I had to add the field fix versions to the screen.

After that it was possible to add e.g. a Change to a sprint.

Under project settings it is possible to manage sprints, e.g. set them to Released.
