I am adding multiple approvers to a ticket and it is sending the approval email multiple times

I have the automation rule set up so that when an approver is added to the Approvers field, the email is sent.  The approvers can be various people, not always the same ones.  

I need an email sent for this one type of ticket, that is outside the template that I can set up in the customer notification section.  Thus the need for a separate automation rule to send the email. 

The problem I'm having is that if I add multiple approvers to the Approvers field, the email is sent that same number of times.  It's sending the email as each person is added as an Approver.  I need it to send the email just one time for the entire group of approvers.

When are you adding the multiple approvers, all at the same time or at different moments?

If it's on different moments, each time the approval is added the email will be sent.

Can you show the following of your automation rule?

1. images that show your complete rule.

2. images showing the details of any relevant actions/conditions/branches.

3. images showing the Audit Log details for the rule execution.

Hi @trthomas 

Or add all approvers at once, 

You would need to see to get the added users email address and set this in a variable, then use the variable in the to field in the email action.

May i ask you at what time you are triggering the send email action in the rule?
