How to update JIRA Service Desk in the UI?

Printbag Embalagens LTDA

I need to update our Jira Service Desk application, and I read that we can update directly in the UI:

But in configuration I dont'd found  this option to update:

Where is this option?

Thanks!

The document is a bit deceptive. While JSD can theoretically be updated more often than the underlying Jira platform, most JSD releases are tied to a specific version of Jira. From your screenshot it looks like you have Jira 7.9 and Service Desk 3.12, which are paired. Service Desk 3.13 is paired with Jira 7.10 - so you would need to do a platform upgrade in order to upgrade Service Desk as well.

Some releases of Service Desk earlier in the series released on the same platform versions, for example 3.6 and 3.7 both could run on 7.4. That's why the minor version numbers don't quite line up - initially JSD 3.0 ran on Jira 7.0 but a few JSD releases got ahead of platform. The documentation is written for those versions that might have had multiple JSD releases on the same Jira platform version.

You can use this Compatibility Matrix to figure out which version of Jira you need for a particular version of Service Desk. For instance, expanding out the Jira 7.12 line shows that you can run Service Desk 3.15 on it. Hope this helps clear things up!

Cheers,
Daniel

Can you share the link to the documentation so I can research. Others may know the answer and respond in the meantime.

thanks. So I assume you are on server 7.5 given the link you provided. Also assume you are the system admin since you can get to the applications screen. I am not on the server version and can't decipher the Portuguese in screenshot so will be of limited help here. :-( I will ping some other champion that are on server to see if they can assist further.
