How to send Internal comments to Jira from API

Are you using Jira Service Management Cloud or JSM Data Center?
If you are using JSM Cloud this is the API endpoint for adding comments:
https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/service-desk/rest/api-group-request/#api-rest-servicedeskapi-request-issueidorkey-comment-post
As per the documentation you specify in the request body if the comment is public or private.
A similar API endpoint is documented for JSM Data Center:
