My JIRA is configured with automation with ACAS to automatically create parent and child tickets for every hit. When the issue is no longer detected via ACAS scan, the issue is resolved. When all the linked/child issues are resolved, the main/parent issue is resolved. My issue is that the child tickets are not always closed automatically. We have to go in and manually resolve each child ticket (over 500 for each issue) before we can manually close the main issue. Is there any way to configure JIRA to resolve all the child tickets when the parent is manually resolved? We currently do not have a JIRA manager as the previous one left recently without explaining what he did with JIRA or how he did it. I'll do my best to clarify any questions. Thanks in advance.

A simple automation like this could solve your issue.
