Hello,
On our main service desk page (https://xxx.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals), we have hidden the large banner with a search input in it (Customize > Edit page layout > Toggle section visibility).
Yet, when I navigate to individual portals (e.g., https://xxxx.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/5), the pesky banner is still there, but it is empty. This appears on every one of our portals, and I have spent hours trying to remove it.
There are no customize page layout options here; they only show on the main portal page.
I want to know what this banner is for, why it's empty, and why I cannot hide it from each portal page like I can on the initial landing page. Can anyone help me remove it?
See the screenshot below of this empty banner.
Thanks so much!
Hi John,
I poked around a bit and get the same behavior as you do - looks like portal level banner customisation / removal is not do-able today, I found https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-16291 for the same.
If you're interested in further customisation options - I work for Refined, who make a Sites app with extended customisation capabilities - the app works as a parallel site to the JSM helpcenter, and on the parallel Refined site you have full control over what each portal looks like. Here's the app: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218481/refined-sites-for-jsm-theme-itsm-hr-help-service-desks
Hope this helps!
/ Raj
Hi @John G
If you are on the main portal page and you "edit the page layout"
On hoovering besides the banner image, you will see "section" name popup, select the whitespace, next to the banner image and you should see "sectio" options, one of the is the hide option.
This will hide the image banner on the portal, if you have a Premium subscription.
