Hello team
I have these four issue types which have the same screen
service request, qa test, sub task, task
One of the tabs is called QA and we need to remove the field Covered by tests from this tab(which i know how to remove), but to not be removed from the other issue types.
Thanks in advance
In order to remove fields from a specific issue type can be done in a couple of ways. If the fields are optional then you can associate that issue type with new screens/screen scheme. The other option is to create a new field configuration and associate it to the issue type. In the field configuration you can hide fields, so even if they are on the screen they will not be shown.
This is a good reference to see how screens, schemes and fields are connected. The documentation is for server/DC but it works the same way in Cloud, at least for now.
Thank you very much for taking the time and informing on those. Really helpful the one with the diagram especially.
So what i did is the following:
Created a new Screen scheme
Duplicated the screen thati currently use and changed the name
In this new screen i removed the field from the tab that i am interested
I added the new screen to the new screen scheme
In the issues type screen scheme i clicked on associate an issue type with a screen scheme
Selected the issue type that i want - qa test - which was previously sharing the same wioth service request , task, sub task, and i assigned the new screen scheme to this.
Now all the issue types wa test do not have the covered by tests field in the tab QA while the rest three issue types have the field covered by tests in the QA tab
I hope that i did all that were required
Thanks for your help again.

to complete my question because i didn't add it at first place.
We need to remove the field from the QA tab only for the QA Test issue type and not for the others
Thanks again and apologies for not putting it at first place
