Hello,
14 days ago, our license expired and we decided to migrate to the cloud.
At the moment, we are using an evaluation license for migration purposes.
Unfortunately, it seems we are not able to migrate the project we are using on our self-hosted instance (v8.13.0) to the cloud.
The Project won't show up for selection.
What are we missing for migrating our data to the cloud?
How are you trying to do the migration? Does your account have the permission to read the project (browse project permission)?
Hey @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- ,
we are using the "Jira Cloud Migration Assistent".
I'm logged in with the default systemadmin, which initially created and modified the project.
When creating a "new Migration", I'm not shown any projects for selection
Maybe the ProjectType is incompatible with the cloud project-templates?

The project type is not the problem - all server projects are company-managed projects in Cloud-speak and the templates used to create a project are irrelevant.
The usual reason JMCA doesn't list a project for import is that the user in use for the migration cannot see the project. Note that administrator rights and who created the project are utterly irrelevant, all that matters for project visibility is the permission to see the project (in the project permissions)

okay, thanks for clarifying.
Actually, I'm using the "Default Permission Scheme".
In this Scheme, the group "jira-administrators" are allowed to do anything.
And as you can see, the systemadmin is a member of the jira-administrator group.
So why still can't see the project during migration?

Ok, that's good, but is the JMCA configured to use that sysadmin user for the import?

It looks like the project is a Service project, and JCMA currently does not migrate Service projects; that's why it's not listed.

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- Where do I configure the used account to read from the server instance? I thought the currently logged-in user will be used for this.
@Ivan Lima Is there any way to migrate service projects? We have several issues in this project and actually not all are resolved yet...

Yes, there is. Have a look at Compare cloud migration methods. I'd suggest spending some time looking at Server to cloud migration guide, where you will find a nice guide to get started.
