Hi, on my JSM project i can't customize as desired the custom field "site".
I set up the field type select list (single choise).
I would like that this field could be edited with different choises for every single project when is enabled.
Now if i enable the custom field the results of the choise is inherited from the parent scheme project (has the same list to be chosen).
I would like to understand how to use the same field with different option choise for every project.
I don't know if it's possible but could be enough to display "site" in request form but in the settings could have a different name (for example site_2)
Thank you in advance for assistance
Regards
Hi @Dirimo
welcome to the community and thank you for your question.
What you would like to take a look at should be custom field context
A complete guide can be found here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-custom-field-context/
To give you a little bit more context: When you create a custom field, it will usually get a global context, meaning it will have the same choices in every project. What you can do then: Setting up separate custom field contexts for every project where you would differ from the default config.
The setting can be found via: Settings > issues > custom fields > 3dot menu on the specific custom field > contexts and default value
Thanks a lot @Kai Becker for a fast and complete response.
I follow your instruction and i resolve the situation.
