Is there any possibility to insert links to Jira Service Desk comments in a more simple way than using the standard option?

It is not very convenient for our support to use the [Link Text|URL] feature, and they ask for Confluence functionality (select the required word within the text, click the "chain button" and paste the web-link). 

Maybe there are some apps with such functionality or smth?

Thank you for reaching out.

The only editor available for Jira Server at this moment would be the Wiki markup, so I'm afraid there are no other ways to add external links to Jira except for the standard option.

We even had a feature request to include markdown syntax in Jira Server, however, it was not implemented due to the low number of requirements:

That being said, there are some marketplace apps that provide you with new renderers that might work for you, as JEditor - Rich Text Editor for Jira.
