I have a query that was handed to me, and I am looking for the query number assigned to it. I need to use it in a confluence page.
Thanks
Hello @Diana Weldon
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
By "query number" do you mean the numeric ID assigned to a Saved filter?
What information was provided to you?
1. If you have a link to the filter does that link include at the end
issues/?filter=10583
If so, the filter ID is the number that follows ?filter=
2. If you were given the name of the filter, you will need to go to the Filters > View All Filters page in Jira and search for the filter by name. When you find it you can click on it to display the filter results. In the filter results page you should see that the page URL includes the ?filter= parameter and there you will find the filter ID.
3. If you were given just a JQL statement you will not be able to find the saved filter based on that. You will have to request the ID or filter name from the person who supplied you with the information.
Welcome to the community and Happy 2026. If you are the Jira Admins (System Admins), you can access the "View all filters" for your site - where you can (should be able to) to access all the filters. In the UI, you will see the filter names and if you hoover over the filter name, you will see the URL at the bottom left of the screen - where you will see "?filter=xxxxx" at the end of the URL. The "xxxxx" will be the filter internal ID. (See image below)
NOTE - Since you were given the filter as you mentioned and you want to use it in Confluence, you need to ensure that users in the Confluence page (example) are setup with Viewer right in the filter permission to execute the filter and see the results.
Hope this also helps.
Best, Joseph
