How to enable email authentication for portal only customers in JSM

Alka Kumari August 7, 2023

We have a requirement to enable email authentication for external users (portal users), as when they leave the organisation ,

1.The portal users should not be able to login to the JSM anymore  .

2. If they try to login , email addresses to be anonymized and shown in JSM against related incidents associated to de-registered user

3. User should be able to de-register from JSM oneself.

@Alka Kumari -

One possibility is to control your JSM access is by configure your site using allowable domains -

https://<<yourcompany>>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/products/servicedesk/customer-access

Here is a documentation from Atlassian on control how users get access to products of your site in details -

https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/control-how-users-get-access-to-products/

Hope this helps.

Thanks @Joseph Chung Yin , Is there any possible way to acheive this?
2. If the deregistered portal users try to login , email addresses to be anonymized and shown in JSM against related incidents associated to de-registered user

I mean if the portal user who left the organisation has not logged out and if he tries to login then can we send some notification to the admins/organisation members or can we anonymize the email address of that user  .
