Hello,
I am trying to enable SSL on Jira service desk so I can enter my MySQL login data securely for the installation.
However, when I try and access via https, I get the following error (I have replaced my domain name with <domain> for privacy purposes):
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to <domain>:8080. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG
How can I set up SSL so I can connect securely and enter my login details? I have found an article on your knowledgebase but that seems to be only once you have installed it.
Many thanks in advance
The error SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG that occurred during a connection to <domain> :8080 usually occurs in Mozilla Firefox. It states that the website you are attempting to visit is unavailable “because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.” The SSL certificate’s improper configuration is the most typical issue, which prevents your browser from successfully establishing a connection with the server’s port.
