I know you can link work item fields in Jira Smart Forms but is there a setting that will allow you to create fields that don't already exist to a project when you create the Smart Form?
In the native JSM forms functionality you can create fields within the Form that do not link to Jira work items fields. From within the form you cannot create a new Jira work item field directly. You have to create the work item field first through the native features for creating fields, and then you can add a form field to link to it.
Yes, I am referring for the Smart Forms for Jira app. We are able to link existing work items to questions but trying to avoid creating new fields (if possible) to link to fields that don't already exist.
