We are trying the Jira Service desk for our organization. Unfortunately unable to figure out how to create a custom report for a couple of custom fields. Fields we added were Actual hours and Estimated hours.
I tried to reach out to the Atlassian support but didn't receive any response. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Karen, what sort of report are you looking for? You could certainly it together a dashboard an leverage the custom field. I will say that working with time fields can be somewhat difficult to report on depending on your goals.
Thanks, Jack for your reply. We are trying to create a report to measure how much ACTUAL HOURS support agents spent on a ticket compare to ESTIMATED HOURS. Prefer to do a monthly reports.
My agent will manually enter the actual hours once he/she finished working on a ticket.
Surely there is a way to do reporting on this as this very basic requirement.

With Jira software there are a number of reports to analyze time estimates and time spent but JSD is a bit different. You could certainly create a weekly report based upon a filter to display the individual issues along with the two time fields but you can’t show as a percentage. You could consider an addon or export to excel and process there.

Thanks Jack. When you say we could do a weekly report, Is this something OOTB?

What I mean is that you can create a filter, save it and set up a subscription to run daily/weekly, etc.
