Hello,

I am seeking to create a dashboard in Jira with a Pie chart that displays the components assigned to our epics. However, I would like it to only display certain components as we use our components to tag work to three specific areas (work type, strategic objective, and customer/center of experience). I would like to create three pie charts that display those component types but cannot seem to separate them from each other if an epic has multiple components tied to it. How can this be done? I have tried filtering on component description, and exclude the components I don't want and include the ones I do, but nothing has worked and I am afraid Jira may not have the capabilities we are looking for.

@Jaelle Sanon Welcome to the Atlassian community

If you are creating a JQL that has just three components in it and then you create a pie chart by component you are correct that an issue that has two components will be in each of the component areas of the pie chart.  By what you are explaining this would be correct as the issue (in your case an epic) has both components.  Are you having trouble excluding other issues that have components outside of the three you want or are you not wanting it to include the issue in two different component lists?
